Epcot's Test Track 3.0 was officially announced at D23 on September 9th, 2023. It then was closed down on June 17th, 2024 to begin refurbishment and updates to Test Track 2.0.

Test Track 3.0 was said to bring new updates with inspirations from the The World of Motion, which was the original attraction that Test Track replaced back in the late 1990's. This will bring a nostalgic feel to the ride, while still providing new and modern experiences and thrills. With this change, Test Track is now sponsored by General Motors (GM) and not just Chevrolet as previously sponsored.

New scenes will be added throughout the ride to better focus on how vehicles use technology and an emphasis on the love and joy of driving and the freedom that it brings. It is important for Disney to showcase the innovation and technology that vehicles and driving have, while still maintaining what a road trip is all about: spending time together with family/friends and the adventure of the world around us. The queue will also include new exhibits that will celebrate and teach upon the history and innovation of personal mobility.

The big question that everyone has been asking however is, "When will Test Track reopen?" Well, Walt Disney World has finally given us an answer! According to Disney, Epcot's Test Track will reopen on July 22nd, 2025. Buckle your seat belts because it is going to be a wild ride!

While Test Track has evolved over the years, so has mobility in the world around us. If you are interested in the history of Test Track, look not further. We hope to see you all on the road this summer!
