With Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu officially hitting theaters on May 22, 2026, the Disney Parks are pulling out all the stops to celebrate the galaxy's favorite duo. From an interactive ride update that changes how you pilot the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy to exclusive treats and nighttime spectaculars, here is everything dropping in the parks.

A Brand New Mission on Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run
The centerpiece of this celebration is a major update to Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, located inside Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at both Disneyland Park and Disney's Hollywood Studios. Starting May 22, 2026, this attraction is getting its first massive content expansion since it opened in 2019, integrating a brand new storyline featuring Din Djarin and Grogu.
In this new adventure, Hondo Ohnaka sends your crew to intercept a high stakes deal on Tatooine involving former Imperial officers and ruthless pirates. As you take the controls, the mission can branch out to iconic locations like the cloud city of Bespin, Coruscant, or the wreckage of the second Death Star.
For guests assigned the Engineer role, pay close attention. A new interactive feature allows the Engineer to check on Grogu during the flight and actually make the critical planet choice that determines the course of the mission.
Given the massive popularity of the film franchise, expect heavy crowds. Park officials are closely monitoring the area, and there is a strong possibility that Disney's Hollywood Studios may implement a temporary virtual queue to manage the anticipated surge of summer vacationers trying to ride the new mission.

Nighttime Magic with "The Curious Child"
Over on the West Coast, the skies above Batuu are glowing. On May 16, 2026, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge inside Disneyland Park debuted a brand new, limited time projection show called "The Curious Child."
Playing nightly immediately after the Shadows of Memory: A Skywalker Saga sequence, this short show transforms the rocky spires near the Millennium Falcon into a massive storytelling canvas. It features Grogu using the Force to look back on his fondest memories with Mando, set to Ludwig Göransson's iconic musical score. The projections highlight classic moments, from mudhorns and X wings to AT ATs.
Opening night brought some serious star power. Guests in the land were stunned when the film's cast and crew, including Pedro Pascal, Sigourney Weaver, director Jon Favreau, and Lucasfilm’s Dave Filoni, showed up to watch the premiere. Pascal even caught a plush Grogu tossed from the crowd and gave it a kiss before waving to the cheering fans.

Galactic Bites and Collectibles
No Disney celebration is complete without themed snacks and highly coveted souvenirs. Both Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge locations at Disneyland Park and Disney's Hollywood Studios are serving up Grogu Cookies, while guests in Florida can also dig into a hearty Sweet and Spicy Puffer Pig Pasta.

For the collectors, there are two major items to hunt down: The Mandalorian and Grogu Jetpack Sipper and the brand new BDX Droid Bucket. The droid bucket is already shaping up to be a massive hit, so grab it early in the day if you see it. Purchases are strictly limited to two per person, per transaction.

Bring the Magic Home
The celebration extends far beyond Batuu. If you want to take a break from the heat, head over to the Animation Academy inside Hollywood Land at Disney California Adventure Park.
Every 30 minutes, a Disney animator walks guests through how to sketch Grogu. No reservations are needed, and you get to take your masterpiece home for free.
Finally, Disney PhotoPass photographers have rolled out new Magic Shots featuring the galactic duo. You can find these special photo ops near the Millennium Falcon and Droid Depot in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, as well as in Tomorrowland at Disneyland Park, Disney Springs at Walt Disney World, Discoveryland at Disneyland Paris, and even on select Disney Cruise Line sailings.

Keep your eyes peeled while wandering Batuu because you might just spot The Mandalorian and Grogu strolling through the outpost themselves.
