The "Create Your World" Campaign as a Brand Pillar

World Princess Week represents a lot more than just an annual event; it acts as the ace in a multi-year, "Create Your World" branding campaign that is a far-reaching, multi-year strategic plan. This campaign, that started in July 2024, is a very major development in Disney's relation with its fans. It sparks in a very determine way and is open-ended in nature, thus, the commitment of always motivating and empowering the fans across all age groups, by equipping them with the necessary tools not only to imagine things but also to embrace new experiences and finally to find the princess magic that is quite unique and also that is already within them. The festival is an homage to the stalwart and influential heritage of the Disney Princesses and the very intimate relation they have developed with the fan base all over the world.

To get things started, Disney released a brand-new music video called "All Princesses Make Magic". It has an original score by seven-time Grammy winner Jacob Collier and tells a sweet story about two sisters who are inspired by the princesses to throw a surprise birthday party for their mom. Their dad, played by Tony Award winner Santino Fontana (the voice of Hans in Frozen), even helps out. This video shows a subtle shift for Disney—instead of just showing us perfect princesses, they're using them to inspire real-life creativity. Seeing kids make their own magical world with costumes and decorations shows how the brand is all about helping people express themselves.

This year, the "Create Your World" campaign has a fun new focus: the princesses' animal sidekicks. This theme is everywhere in new products and online content, adding a "heartwarming layer to playtime and storytelling". Highlighting characters like Rajah, Pascal, and Pua is a smart move that allows for a whole new range of toys, like Squishmallows and themed LEGO sets. It also gives a fresh angle for new videos, like one on the NatGeoKids YouTube channel. By doing this, the Disney Princess brand stays exciting and new for everyone.

The Global Festivities

The 2025 celebrations will not only be marked by the Disney Princess concert, but also by the splendid "Disney Princess Concert: Celebrating 70 Years of Disneyland" which is the one and only such event. In fact, this unique show was recorded right in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland and, thus, it can be accessed on YouTube from August 29 and later on Disney+. Voice actors line-up is the main attraction of the event. It will include for example, Auli'i Cravalho (Moana) and Disney Legends Jodi Benson (Ariel), Paige O'Hara (Belle), and Anika Noni Rose (Tiana). Ginnifer Goodwin and Susan Egan will take care of the event hosting. As a result of synthesis of the princesses with Disneyland's 70th anniversary, the Disney is linking the brand's most two powerful elements and at the same time giving a playful wink to peoples who have been fans for a long time.

Though the extravaganza is international, the amusement parks will still have their own special events. There are several ways to meet three princesses at the same time in the Royal Hall in Fantasyland, Selena Cambell says this is a great Family Adventure at Disneyland Resort. Besides that, the park made a special wish come true for a seven-year-old girl who had a Make-A-Wish. Amelia was crowned "Princess for a Day" and went on a "wayfinding adventure" with Moana.

Interestingly, Disneyland in Paris is going to be flooded with characters more than usual from August 23 to 31, this includes a new show "Live Your Story - a Disney Princess Celebration". They also made dreams come true by granting a three-day, two-night stay to 60 children. Now, Walt Disney World, has come up with the idea of the special Food and Drinks and Character Encounters. For example, one can meet Moana at Disney's Animal Kingdom or Belle at the France Pavilion at EPCOT. The aforementioned is an example of how Disney carries a single brand message, while it is still capable of customizing experiences for different locations like fulfilling wishes in Latin America, on a Disney Cruise ship in Italy, or at Hong Kong Disneyland.

The World Princess Week Culinary Guide

One of the unique aspects of World Princess Week is the all the limited-time food and drinks which had always been a major part of the celebration's storytelling. These treats are made with great care to reflect the character of each princess, thus turning an ordinary snack into a magical one. For example, "Rapunzel Berries and Cream Cake" is made of vanilla and blackberry that can give you the feeling of a quirky forest , while "Moana Mini Cake" can take you to a lovely beach with its mango mousse. The very titles, such as "The Clock Strikes Twelve" for a chocolate tart or "A Flower That Blooms" for a lychee-vanilla tart, are instrumental in further immersing you in the princess tales.

Digital and Home Entertainment

With so much happening online, World Princess Week has a bunch of new content you can enjoy from home. The biggest one is the new animated special, "LEGO Disney Princess: Villains Unite," which is now streaming on Disney+. The special is about a group of princesses—including Ariel, Moana, Tiana, Rapunzel, and Snow White—who have to team up to stop villains like Gaston, Ursula, and Jafar. A lot of the original voice actors are back for it, which is a treat for fans.

Besides the new special, Disney has also put out some great videos online. A new YouTube video called "Exclusive Journey on The Little Mermaid – Ariel's Undersea Adventure with Jodi Benson & Lauren Paley" features Disney Legend Jodi Benson riding the attraction and reminiscing about how much the character has meant to people. There's also a special video on the NatGeoKids YouTube channel that takes families behind the scenes at Disney's Animal Kingdom to learn about the real-life animals that inspired the princesses' sidekicks, like the Kunekune pig that inspired Pua and the tiger that inspired Rajah.

The celebration also has something for music lovers. To mark the 15th anniversary of Tangled, a collector's edition zoetrope vinyl has been released. For a more relaxing sound, the album "Disney Princess Strings: Garden Soirée" offers classical versions of iconic songs. And for those who want a live show, the

Making Wishes Come True

A core component of World Princess Week is the celebration of Disney's enduring commitment to social responsibility through its partnership with Make-A-Wish. For nearly 45 years, the two organizations have worked together to grant over 165,000 wishes for children with critical illnesses, many of which are inspired by a heartfelt desire to meet a favorite Disney Princess. During World Princess Week, the brand uses its platform to highlight these life-changing experiences and recognize its "Wishmakers" across the company who make these moments possible.

Specific examples of wishes granted during the celebration include:

  • Concert Taping Invitation: Twelve wish kids and their families received a special invitation to attend the live taping of the Disney Princess Concert at Disneyland, giving them a front-row seat to the performance.

  • A "Princess for a Day": At Disneyland Resort, a seven-year-old girl named Amelia, who dreamed of meeting Moana, was crowned "Princess for a Day" and embarked on a special wayfinding adventure with the character.

  • Global Wishes: In Latin America, nine princess wishes were granted for young girls, while on the Disney Fantasy cruise ship, 38 wishes were granted for children from Italy. At Hong Kong Disneyland, five wishes were fulfilled, and a wish for a three-day stay was granted to 60 children visiting Disneyland Paris.

  • A Historic Wish: For the first time, a wish to meet Rapunzel was granted at the new Fantasy Springs port at Tokyo DisneySea for an eight-year-old named Mei, who met the character at The Snuggly Duckling.

The public showcasing of these events is a powerful strategic alignment of the brand's core values—which are centered on dreams, courage, and hope—with its philanthropic efforts. By demonstrating that the spirit of the princesses is actively realized in the real world through these wishes, Disney strengthens its brand loyalty by appealing to the audience's empathy and moral values, positioning its characters as symbols of resilience and compassion far beyond the screen.
